ARMY MAN, FORMER RESIDENT OF CITY, DIES AT CAMP JAY - BOCHNICEK, Charles was born in St. Louis and moved to East St. Louis where he made his home until the beginning of the World War. He joined the Army at that time and remained in it until his death. He was stationed during his service in the Army at Tahiti, Hawaii, Jefferson Barracks, and recently at Fort Jay.
